Fender Jack White Pano Verb Dual-speaker Combo Amplifier
A 3-way cross between three of Jack White’s favorite Fender amplifiers, the Fender Jack White Pano Verb Dual-speaker Combo Amplifier contains a panoply of forward-thinking features never found on any previous Fender amplifier. From the outset, the Jack White Pano Verb might be mistaken for a Super Reverb dressed up in a vivid yellow-tinged Third Man getup, but flip this amp around to be greeted by a unique speaker configuration of a 10-inch Jensen P10R and a 15-inch Jensen C15N. These speakers are driven by independent 20- and 50-watt power sections, resulting in an enveloping 70-watt wash of stereo sound. Next, the Pano Verb’s true spring reverb splash can be routed to both speakers or just the 10-inch, while the old-school harmonic tremolo section grants you the option for stereo and mono operation. And while the three Fender amps that inspired the Pano Verb are revered for their lush and dynamic cleans, this amp’s +26dB adjustable boost transforms even the mildest signal into a sneering snarl. Much more than a typical signature model, the Fender Jack White Pano Verb represents a true milestone in Fender amplifier history.
Loaded with Jack White–approved Jensens
The amplifiers that inspired the Jack White Pano Verb — a 1964 Vibroverb, a 1961 Vibrosonic, and a 1993 Vibro-King — utilize both 10- and 15-inch speakers in various arrangements that sport drastically different tones. Favored for its punchy mids and round, spongy bass, the Pano Verb’s 10-inch Jensen P10R speaker sings with a clear, defined, and articulate voice. In comparison, the 15-inch Jensen C15N delivers a robust bass response with smooth, rounded-over highs. Taken as a whole, the Jack White Pano Verb roars with a full-bodied spectrum of sound that captures the best elements of three all-time great Fender amplifiers.
Singing stereo sound
The Jack White Pano Verb delivers a panoramic punch of sound thanks to its true stereo operation. This 70-watt amplifier is comprised of a 50-watt power section and a 20-watt power section, with independent Out 1 and Out 2 outputs on the rear that feed the Pano Verb’s speakers. The result? A sweeping wash of stereo sound that sounds like no other amplifier in Fender’s long and storied history. What’s more, the Jack White Pano Verb’s preamp section comes complete with a whopping six 12AX7s and a 12AT7, which deliver plenty of grit and grind when you activate the amp’s built-in +26dB adjustable boost.
Rippling reverb and vintage-tinged harmonic tremolo
As a blend of three classic Fender amplifiers, it is no surprise that the Jack White Pano Verb contains the two most prevalent effects in Fender’s amplifier oeuvre: reverb and tremolo. Activate the true spring reverb section to inject a surfy splash into your every note, with a dynamic “drip” when you crank up the Dwell and Mix controls. What’s more, the Pano Verb takes typical Fender reverb controls a step further with both Bass and Treble controls to shape your sound — a favorite addition of Fender reverb fanatics, as most Fender amps generally come with a simple 1-knob “Reverb” control to do it all. The reverb section is finished with a Full/Split switch that allows you to route the reverb to either both speakers or only the 10-inch speaker.
Next up, the Pano Verb also boasts a harmonic tremolo that harkens back to Fender’s legendary brown-panel amplifiers. In contrast to the choppy tonality of the later bias-wiggle tremolo found on Fender’s black-panel amplifiers, harmonic tremolo operates with a sound that splits the difference between traditional tremolo and modulation. Finally, the tremolo section can be swapped from standard mono to psychedelic stereo with a flip of the Stereo/Mono switch.
