Aquarian TC-B Texture Coated 12/13/16 Drumhead Pack

The Texture Coated Series drumhead is a single ply, medium weight head that produces a responsive and resonant tone with sticks, mallets and brushes. The Z-100 coating is the thinnest and most durable coating ever developed. Unlike conventional coatings, it resists chipping and it lasts and lasts and lasts. Available in both White and Black coating. Aquarian “Safe-T-Loc”™ hoop, combined with our “Sound Curve” collar design provides for easy tuning, great stick response and zero slippage inside the hoop. Aquarian’s Texture Coated heads offer a consistent sound, increased resonance and a sensitivity that drummers expect from a traditional sounding drumhead.

Finish: Coated Drumhead

Coated drumheads feature a textured surface applied to the film, resulting in a slightly warmer and more focused tone compared to clear heads. The coating helps control overtones and provides a more refined sound character. Depending on the construction, coated heads can deliver anything from soft brush sensitivity to aggressive attack, making them versatile across various playing styles.

A single-ply drumhead consists of one thin layer of film, typically around 7–10 mil thick. It offers an open, bright tone with strong sustain and sensitivity, making it ideal for lighter playing styles, dynamic expression, and genres like jazz or pop. Single-ply heads are also more responsive to subtle playing techniques.
