The WesAudio _Dione is a fully analog stereo bus compressor built around two THAT 2181 VCAs in the signal path (with two more in the sidechain detector), delivering the classic “mixbus glue” sound that has defined countless mixes for decades — now with +24dBu of headroom and digital recall built in. Four switchable ratios (1.5:1, 2:1, 4:1, and 10:1) cover everything from gentle bus-wide cohesion to aggressive drum and effects compression, while a dedicated MIX knob makes parallel compression effortless and can be automated directly from your DAW.

_Dione’s sidechain section includes three high-pass filters (60Hz, 90Hz, 150Hz) plus two specially curved tilt filters, giving precise control over what triggers the compressor. A switchable THD circuit (Medium/High) adds analog harmonic saturation for extra color, and hardware A/B switching lets you compare two settings instantly — all while true bypass preserves signal integrity when the unit is off.

As part of the ng500 line, _Dione integrates seamlessly into a standard 500-series rack via front-panel USB or into WesAudio’s _Titan chassis for full rack recall. Total recall and DAW plugin control are available across AAX, AAX DSP, VST2, VST3, and AU, with three touch-sensitive encoders for recording automation of Threshold, Mix, and Make-Up directly into your session — combining the sound of a vintage analog bus compressor with a thoroughly modern recall workflow.
