The WesAudio _Mimas brings the legendary FET compression sound of the classic 1176 into the ng500 era, pairing a fully balanced analog signal path (+24dBu headroom, IN/OUT) with Carnhill interstage transformers for that iconic punchy, fast-attack character. Four classic ratio settings — 4:1 and 8:1 for compression, 12:1 and 20:1 for limiting — are joined by the legendary “All Buttons In” mode, which remains fully analog despite the digital control layer. A dedicated saturation knob lets you dial in warmth and harmonic color independently of compression, echoing the classic 1176 trick of running input/output without engaging the compressor, but in a single, simplified control.

True bypass, hardware A/B switching, and a selectable VU/GR meter (accessible via the plugin) round out the analog feature set, while digital sidechain lets you route any DAW track into the compressor’s detector. As part of the ng500 line, _Mimas integrates into a standard 500-series rack via front-panel USB or into WesAudio’s _Titan chassis for full system-wide recall.
