Pearl’s streamlined single-chain design drives either of two interchangeable cams: choose the Perfect Circle Cam for a linear, more traditional response, or the Eliminator-style Eccentric Cam for greater acceleration as you approach the head. Adjustable spring tension lets drummers further dial in their preferred response. FrictionLess spring rollers reduce resistance and extend pedal life, while a bottom footplate with adjustable hoop clamp aids in stability.
Switchable cams yield a custom response
The P920 PowerShifter allows players to tailor their pedal response via two interchangeable cams. The Perfect Circle Cam yields a more traditional feel: the beater accelerates toward the bass head at a constant rate that will be familiar to most players. Eliminator fans and extreme pedalists will prefer the Eccentric Cam, which adds acceleration to the end of each stroke for added power.
