Independent Piano and Sample Synth sections

The Piano and Sample Synth sections of the Nord Piano 6 each comprise two independent layers, and you can simultaneously deploy custom split or layer combo configurations as needed. Combined with the instrument’s flexible and adaptable effects routing, a broad variety of combinations can be crafted, from vintage ensembles to rich contemporary soundscapes — and everything in between. Furthermore, Nord’s Advanced Layering technology and dedicated LED faders for each Layer make it easy to build deep, richly detailed sounds using up to two Pianos and two Sample Synths.

Innovative Nord technologies for the ultimate piano experience

The Piano 6’s meticulously engineered keybed gives you absolute control over your dynamics at any velocity level. Nord’s Virtual Hammer Action technology works in concert with precision physical hammer movements to provide a keyboard action that delivers stunningly realistic playability and dynamic response. The company’s Advanced String Resonance accurately reproduces the complex interplay of the piano strings — it also adds the body resonance of a real acoustic piano when the damper pedal is depressed. The Nord Triple Pedal unit comprises Soft and Sostenuto Pedals, as well as the unique Dynamic Sustain Pedal with Nord’s Pedal Noise feature, which dynamically emulates the mechanical sounds of lifting and releasing the damper mechanism of a genuine grand piano.
