Fender Mexican Deluxe Active Jazz Bass

Elegant and packed with versatile tones, the Fender Mexican Deluxe Active Jazz Bass is ideal for bassists who need a flexible tone machine that looks great on stage. Fender’s classic offset bass style is blended with powerful tone and smooth playing feel to create an instrument that punches well above its weight without breaking a working bassist’s wallet. On stage or in the studio, the rich, timeless Jazz Bass tone will easily find a home in any style of music.

About The Jazz Bass

the Fender Jazz Bass currently exists in more than 40 incarnations, from a lean-and-mean Standard series model to the rough-and-ready Road Worn model to the enormous Steve Bailey Jazz Bass VI to the gorgeous limited edition 50th anniversary model. Can it really be 50? It wears it well. It still looks so modern. It’s still much more than the sum of its parts, even though they’re really cool parts.

It still looks and feels so sleek, curvaceous and sexy that it almost doesn’t really compute that the Jazz has reached a full half-century. It seems to lack its revered older brother’s air of rough austerity, but that’s probably a good thing, because it makes the Jazz Bass forever adventurous and forever cool. It means that no matter how long the Jazz continues to rule the realm of bass, it’s forever young.

About Squier

Fender acquired U.S. guitar string manufacturer the V.C. Squier Company in 1965; by 1982 the Squier name had resurfaced as a low-cost “value brand” alternative initially manufactured and distributed in the Japanese domestic market and soon offered to Europe, North America and the rest of the world.

To maintain and control costs over the years, Squier instruments have been produced in several nations, including Japan, Korea, India, China, Indonesia and Mexico. While the brand has produced its share of innovative designs over the past 25 years, its main focus and most successful approach has always been to be the “value brand” alternative to its big brother, Fender.
