At 15.69″ long and 0.540″ in diameter with a medium taper, the 7A is AHEAD’s best-selling choice for jazz and lighter styles of playing, giving excellent control at low-to-medium volumes. Like the rest of the range, it offers 50% less shock than an equivalent wood stick, around 5% more rebound, and a working life quoted at 6 to 10 times longer than hickory, since only the cover and tip need replacing as they wear. A high-precision alloy core keeps weight and balance variance under 1% between sticks, and the built-in Vibration Reduction System helps protect your hands and wrists over long sessions.
