World-class tone tools for bass
Equipped with BOSS’s most advanced sound engine, the GT-1B multi-effects processor features a wide range of preamp models and premium effects. It even offers BOSS’s MDP (Multi-Dimensional Processing) effects such as limiting and distortion for tone shaping that doesn’t sacrifice your instrument’s character. Common effects such as EQ and Wah are onboard, plus more exotic flavors such as Harmonist, Bass Synth, Defretter, and more. You’ll find a huge array of classic effects, including modulations, delays, reverbs, and even a built-in looper.
Made to be mobile
The rugged GT-1B bass processor is sized to fit snugly in the accessory compartment of your gig bag, making it a complete stage solution that doesn’t require multiple trips back to your car. You can power it with the optional AC power supply (sold separately) or with four AA batteries for truly portable operation.

Whether you want to build your own tones from scratch or customize an existing patch for your own style, the BOSS GT-1B makes it simple. Three easily accessible knobs offer dedicated access to effects parameters. And the GT-1B’s Easy Select and Easy Edit modes streamline the patch-creation process even further. Right out of the box, the GT-1B comes with 99 wide-ranging presets, plus another 99 blank user slots for your own creations.
BOSS Tone Central and BOSS Tone Studio expand your capabilities
Download free patch collections for your GT-1B from BOSS Tone Central. These patches were crafted by professional bassists and are dialed in and ready to use. They also make great starting points for players who want to craft their own custom sounds. The free BOSS Tone Studio editor/librarian software provides integrated access to all of BOSS Tone Central’s patch collections.
Maximum control with a minimal footprint
With just three footswitches, the GT-1B gives you access to extensive functionality including patch selection, a built-in tuner, looper control, and much more. Bassists here appreciate the options for adding additional control too — the dedicated CTL1 switch can be assigned to tap tempo, toggle effects, and other performance-focused controls. And an expression pedal input is available for handling wah, volume pedal, and other control duties.
