Founded in 1875, Sonor started manufacturing military drums, from there they developed into making the masterpieces you see today packed full of almost 150 years of experience. The first Sonor drum kit was made in 1952 and today’s various Sonor series have captured the very essence of this. A unique shell character

Constructed from seven plies of maple, the Jungle Snare Drum may not look like it packs a punch, but it most certainly does. Each ply has been perfectly aligned to get the most out of the maple’s natural resonance and brilliance. With a small depth of only two inches, the shell’s sound is super precise and poppy, ideal for a huge range of genres.

Non-hindering hardware

Despite its small design, the Sonor 10” x 2” Jungle Snare drum’s hardware is made from the very best materials. The steel hoops are triple-flanged and chrome plated for that signature shiny finish. The snare drum also features a smart throw-off mechanism which doesn’t obstruct the player and is quick and easy to operate, even mid-song. With 12 strands of steel wire, the snare mechanism is tight and responsive to every hit.
