Takamine Acoustic Guitar Xplosion at Tanz. Call for artists

There is such a wealth of untapped musical talent that is waiting to be given the opportunity of being able to perform on a stage.

Not every musician wants to be part of a band; at the same time there are musicians in bands that want to have the opportunity of being able to perform their own songs as a soloist.

With this mind the Takamine Acoustic Guitar Xplosion is taking place at Tanz Café on Tuesday evenings from 20:00.

Each week musicians perform three songs. The best on the day proceed to the monthly semi-finals and from there have the opportunity of making the finals where Marshal Music are sponsoring a Takamine acoustic guitar worth R15 000. Get Phat Studios are also sponsoring studio time for the winning artist. All participants will also have the opportunity of attending a series of music workshops.

Each participant also receives feedback after each performance from the judges.
